Age 86, of Banksville, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 62 years to Norma (Bickel) Hammer; loving father of David (Janet), Kevin, Tim (Betty) Hammer, Karen Schlaegle (Russell); loving grandfather of Ryan (Kim), Casey (Ali), Bradley, Ashley, Andrea, MacKenzie and Geena; cherished great-grandfather of Nathan, Zeke and Reagan; beloved brother of the late Marie Osterrieder, Norbert Hammer and Dolores Osterrieder. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. George was a Korean War veteran, served in the US Army with the Signal Corps and retired from Harbison-Walker Refactories.
