George J. Cup

May 13, 1928 — September 26, 2013

On Thursday, September 26, 2013, George Cup, of Mt. Lebanon. Loving husband of Lorraine for 55 years; proud father of Diane (Jeffrey) Gibson, Ellyn (John) Schraff, Corinne (Randy) Contestabile, Jenifer Evans, and Eric Cup (Heather Hylaszek) and 12 grandchildren. He is survived by a sister, Helen (Albin) Kochanowski, a sister-in-law, Stella (Roscoe) Cup, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, the late Nicholas and Kathryn (Trygar) Cup, he was preceeded in death by siblings Mildred, Antoinette, Roscoe and Paul Cup, Ann Yerep and Mary Suwinski. A devoted Catholic, George was an active member of St. Winifred for 50 years, a member of St. Winifred Ushers Club, and the Knights of Columbus, having served two terms as Grand Knight. A lifelong outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
