Age 109, of Windermere, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Zaborowski) Steinkirchner; loving father of Gail (late Marko) Miller, Paul (Linda) Steinkirchner, Teresa (Bruce) Steinkirchner-Anderson and Michael Steinkirchner; grandfather of Heather, Brent, Jill, Amy, and Greg; great grandfather of Emily, Paul Noel, Ava, Antoinette , Anthony and Victoria; brother of the late Joseph and late Bette; uncle of Judith, Richard, and Ronald; also survived by many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews. Frederick proudly served for 49 years for the City of Pittsburgh, retiring at age 70, as the Deputy Chief. He served until recently, as a board member, for the Pittsburgh Firefighters Federal Credit Union. A World War II veteran, he was initially assigned to the 640-7th Tank Destroyer Unit, and, finally in Germany as a field artillery mechanic.
