Age 90 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Son of the late Louis and Lena (Cavalieri) Parks. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Parks. Loving father of Linda Carlisle (Gary Lisivick), Michael Pruni (Rita) and Fred Parks, Jr. Grandfather of Jennifer Carlisle. Cherished great-grandfather of Joshua, Jayana and Julia Candelaria. Brother of Eleanor (the late Richaard) Orlowski, Margaret O'Shea (late Thomas), Donald (Emily) Parks, Mary Ann (Leonard) Labriola, the late Anthony Parks (Norma) and Rose (Samuel) Trapani. Brother-in-law of Cay Hahn (late Chuck) and the late Joan (Tom) Blank. He is survived by his devoted and loving cat Maggie and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Also all his friends over the many years at DeBlasio's, Scoglio's and Vincent's. Fred served in the US Army during the Korean War after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in Civil Engineering. Fred took a position at Swindell Dressler in downtown Pgh. He advanced to leadership positions, eventually becoming owner of Trimark Engineers Construction, Inc. During his career he earned numerous professional engineer and land surveyor certicates in multiple states. Fred was instrumental in the building of the LeMont on Grandview Ave and the iconic WDVE building on Fleet Street. Fred was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Green Tree, lifetime member of the Rivers Club in Pgh. and former member of Montour Heights CC. Besides his many accomplishments he had a passion for golf. He had two holes-in-one. Fred was a loving and generous man. Most important he was a loyal family man who gave his all to those in need - our rock.
