Frank Paul Anthony Marckisotto, of Wilkins Township, Pennsylvania died in his home, surrounded by his family on Monday, January 15th, 2018. He was 81 years old.
Frank is survived by his wife, Darlene (Bandik) Marckisotto; his six children, Darlene F. (Matthew S.) Cramer and Lisa A. (Ross A.) Nese, whom he shared with former spouse, Patricia L. Marckisotto; Jordan P. (Brian M.) Marckisotto, Frank R. (Lindsaey N.) Marckisotto, Seth P. Marckisotto and Hannah R. Marckisotto; his five grandchildren, Matthew R. Nese, Scott W. Nese, Madison M. Cramer, Carson M. Cramer and Amelia M. Marckisotto; his brother, Anthony D. Marckisotto and his sister-in-law, Marian Marchisotto; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Annetta J. Scarpaci (2000) and Anna Marie Smith (Donatucci) (1995), and his beloved brothers, Dominic J. Marchisotto (2017) and Paul E. Marckisotto (1994).
For nearly 27 years, Frank and his family have owned and operated the independent Giant Eagle supermarket located within the Edgewood Towne Centre in Edgewood, Pennsylvania. With over 65 years in the supermarket industry, Frank was always most proud of the opportunity to have served his customers and members of the surrounding communities. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, cherished friend, avid golfer and respected business owner who made it his life's work to improve the lives and well-being of others. He touched the hearts and lives of many with his smile and generosity, and he was a true blessing to all who knew him.
Friends and family will be received at William Slater II Funeral Service (412-563-2800) , 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on Wednesday, January 17th and Thursday, January 18th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am in St. John Fisher Parish, 33 Lewin Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 at 11:00AM on Friday, January 19th. All are welcome to attend.
