Age 91, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021. Son of the late Francesco and Pasqualina (DeRiggi) Guadagnino; beloved husband for 67 years of Ruth (Valerio) Guadagnino, loving father of Frank (Lisa) Guadagnino, John (Barbara) Guadagnino, Julie (late husband Sean) Conway, Jim (Ann) Guadagnino; proud grandfather of Frank (Vicki) Guadagnino, Katie Guadagnino, Annie Guadagnino, Maria Guadagnino, Gina (Steve) Sliter, Kayla (Will) Caldes, Dan (Emily) Conway, Maureen Conway (Joe Girard), Chris (Patti) Conway, Sam Guadagnino, Gabi Guadagnino; great-grandfather of Frankie and Sloan Guadagnino, Simon Conway, Martin Caldes, Mitchell Conway and Harrison Sliter, brother of the late Sam, Neal, Tony and Guy Guadagnino, Mary Angelelli and Nancy Weber; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning he continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh while working at Crucible Steel Research. He later worked as a metallurgist at Edgewater Steel in Oakmont. One of Frank's greatest memories was playing football under legendary coach Pete Dimperio at Westinghouse High School which led to a lifelong friendship with his teammates for over 70 years. Frank was a kind and gentle man. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and all their accomplishments. He will be greatly missed. Visitation and services will be held privately.
