Frank Rocco Duranti

Age 62 of Mt Lebanon, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Loving husband of Julia I. (Merante) Duranti; son of the late Rocco and Anastasia Duranti; dear father of Rocco and Anthony Duranti; brother of Sophea (Philip) Heidinger, Christopher (Mary) Duranti, Lynn (William) Mamakos,George (Suzanne) Duranti, Maria (Mark) Laipple, Theodora (Sherry) Duranti, Pamela (Michael) Miele; brother in law of Angela (Alan) Sleiman, Filomena (Leonard) Lies, Pasquale (Cindy) Merante, Anthony Merante; loving uncle of 46 nieces and nephews and 25 great nieces and nephews. Frank graduated from Edgewood High School and attended Duquesne University. He was the proud owner of Duranti Restaurant for 35 years. Frank dedicated his life to fighting fires from the age of 18 he volunteered his service s to the communities of Edgewood borough and Mt Lebanon Fire Departments. Frank had a deep love of food and cooking. He enjoyed cooking often for his family. He also cooked for the fire department after their weekly drills. He was well known for his award winning meals.
