Frances Jean Remy

On Friday, April 16, 2021, Frances Jean Remy of Oakwood, Pittsburgh, PA, known to all as "Jean," loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 88. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to Ernest and Josephine (Petrone) Paone, a Christmas baby like her grandfather, for whom she was named. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald H. Remy Sr. Mother of Donald H., Jr. (Annette) and David Remy. Sister of Robert Paone, the late John "Jack" A. Paone (Mary Ann), and the late Ernest C. Paone. Aunt of Catherine (David) Robey, James (Kathy) Paone and the late Karen Paone. Jean's vivacious spirit, her love and generosity, and her contagious laughter enriched the lives of her family and made friends of all she met throughout her long life. Jean served many with dedication and humor in her years at Locante's, The Marriott, The Redwood, and Chartiers Country Club. She loved having a good time at the Meadows, where she and Don owned horses, hitting the slots in old Atlantic City, and her travels took her to Vegas, California, Aruba, and the Bahamas.
