Florence J. "Bubbles" Bonadero

Florence “Bubbles” Bonadero, aged 92, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025 in Houston, Texas. Born on March 18, 1932, she was the cherished daughter of James and Erma Ufolla and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born the eldest of five daughters, Florence took that responsibility very seriously and with a great deal of pride and responsibility. The Ufolla daughters - Florence, Patty Walker, Betty Slain, Janet Taylor and Jane Hoeller are a formidable force and Florence adored them without cease. Between them a bond was forged like no other. 

Florence is known for her one of a kind personality and passion, characterized by her boundless love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. She lived her life with grace and generosity, but never afraid to speak her mind. Never. Not once.

Her warm smile, conviction, and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving family: her beloved daughter Erma Bonadero and Son-in-Law Clinton Woodson from Houston TX, her “scorch” son Anthony “Tony” Bonadero and Daughter-in-Law Marcia from Austin, TX /Taipei, along with her beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and countless friends from all over the world.

On her journey, Florence will be reunited with her beloved parents, her husband Dr. Peter Bonadero and many other family, friends, and admirers who have preceded her in death. Oh what a time they will have. 

A celebration of Florence's life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Viewing will be from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd. Scott Twp.15220. (412-563-2800) Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Simon and Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 1607 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh. Following the funeral mass, Florence will be laid to rest alongside her parents, and with the ashes of her beloved husband, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://act.alz.org) in her honor.

Her memory will be forever treasured and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
