Age 93, of the Westwood section of Pittsburgh, peacefully passed on Monday, May 17, 2021. Evelyn was born on December 25, 1927, in Gastonville, PA. She married Anton D. Maslo in the Gastonville Methodist Church on November 4,1950. They were married for 69 years until Anton passed away in January 2020. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Dr. Suzanne L. Maslo, and her son, Dr. Anthony D. (Michele) Maslo; grandmother of Anthony J., Alexander, and August Maslo; daughter of the late John and late Zuzanna (Kish) Albert; sister of late Ann (late Don) Bullion; late Betty (late Milton) Singer; late Patricia (late Samuel) Smyth, (late Tom) Rawding; late John (late Armania) Albert; late Mildred (Harry) Charles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and was devoted to her family. She worked at Duquesne Light Company for 19 years, and Pittsburgh Board of Education for 30 years in several schools. Most remember her as the "Best Westwood School Lunch Lady" ever. She was active in Cub Scouts and coached girls softball. She opened her home to all of the kids in the neighborhood and freely offered her advice as to how to live a good life. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Carnegie for decades, teaching Sunday School and serving on the Council. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, roller skate dancing, golfing and bowling (both duck & ten pins). Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be greatly missed and her light will shine through all who were blessed to know her.
