Emily (Anderson) Schock

Of Asbury Villas, formerly of Moon Township, and Bethel Park. Died on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Her parents were Marjorie (McMurry) and Dwight Anderson. She married Arthur C. Schock in January 1949. Their children are; son, Dwight A. Schock (Patricia Ohlinger); grandson, Brett (Becky Dugan) Schock; great-grandchild, Carson Schock; daughter, Barbara Schock Wakefield; son, Donald C. (Janet Eisenhauer) Schock; grandchildren, Samuel, Julia, and Gregory Schock. Emily graduated from Shadyside Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh and taught nursing at West Penn Hospital. She belongs to Coraopolis United Methodist Church. Her gardens were enjoyed by the neighborhood and all. A flower never left before its time. She was an accomplished pianist, favoring classical and romance music and Gilbert and Sullivan. She enjoyed the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Opera, the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society, the Pittsburgh Ballet, and WQED FM. She also liked to ski, sail, and make picnic lunches.
