Emil J. Schafer

Age 86, of Mt. Washington, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Beloved husband of 63 years of Lillian (Sinning) Schafer; loving father of John E. (Nancy) Schafer and Robert W. (Diane) Schafer; brother of Joseph, Lawrence and the late William Schafer; also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Emil was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, worked at the P&LE Railroad and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992. Friends welcome Thursday, 2-8 p.m. at WM.
