Elva Mae Schwartzmiller

Age 85, of Green Tree, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William R. Schwartzmiller. Mother of William R. Schwartzmiller Jr., Lori Murray (Tom), Shari Richards and Audra Azoury-Sommer (Mark).  Grandmother of Alexis, Clayton, Jessica, Jacob, Maxwell, Luke and Jesse. Great-grandmother of John and Reid.

Bill and Elva built the Schwartzmiller Company - a provider of pre-engineered metal buildings.  Elva, the office manager and bookkeeper, and Bill the structural engineer, built a business that provided a great life for their family.

In her retirement, Elva enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Wallace Memorial (now Unity), playing cards, attending Broadway plays with her friends and drinking Rum and Coke on the beach. Elva's supportive nature, easy going personality and great sense of humor made her everyone's favorite confidante.  She will be greatly missed by everyone she loves.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 7 from 2-6 PM in William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. Funeral Service to take place Monday, May 8, 10 AM in Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road.  Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park at 2 PM.
