On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Elias McMillan, loving husband ,and dedicated father, passed away at age 34.
Elias was born on December 23, 1986, in New London, Connecticut. After graduating from Oliver High School in 2005; he attended Waynesburg University from 2005 until 2009. Elias received a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Broadcasting and Journalism. On June 25th, 2017, he married Asha Dean whom he met in college. They had a wonderful ceremony celebrating their marriage on March 30th, 2018. Shortly thereafter, their daughter, Eva Gabrielle McMillan, was born on January 29, 2019.
Elias was kind and gentle hearted. He was passionate about his family. One of his favorite quotes was from legendary Dallas Cowboys coach, Tom Landry. "God, family, and football." As a man of God, he loved his family fiercely and had an unwavering spirit about him. He loved to write and often used social media and podcasts to share his passion for sports. He was a devoted husband and father, that loved spending time with his wife and daughter; often making breakfast on Saturday morning while streaming on Instagram. Elias had a deep love for each of his siblings and cherished every moment and laugh with them.
Elias is survived by his wife Asha; his daughter Eva Gabrielle; his parents Sylvester McMillan and Phyllis (Cassandra) Sawtelle; brothers Azriel McMillan and Jeriah McMillan; sisters Miadia Carswell Flannagan and Phylicia McMillan. He is also survived by his nephews, niece, many aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
