Eleanor M. Schaefer

Age 90, of Mt. Washington, on Monday, December 29, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John L. Schaefer; loving mother of Renie (Scott) Fouts, Len (Ginny) Schaefer, Tim Schaefer, Janet (John) Wetzel and Kathy (Mike) McAleavey; sister of the late Dorothy Davis and Chuck Klein; cherished grandma of Barb, Kristin, Holly, Johnny, David, Michael and Shannon; also survived by five great-grandchildren. Eleanor enlisted in the US Army as a WAC "Blue Angel" in 1945 and received the World War II Victory Medal. Family and friends welcome Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. WM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Mount Church Saturday 11 a.m. immediately followed by military honors by VFW Post 5111. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Mount Keep the Light Shining Capital Campaign.
