48, of Pittsburgh, peacefully with his loving wife by his side went home to the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Loving husband to Penelope (Scott), doggy-daddy to Sam, son of Eleanor 'Marcy' Kerr-Alexander and the late Edward Alexander. Brother of Colleen Alexander, son-in-law to Robert Scott Sr of Georgia, brother in law to Robert (Stacey) Scott, Jr of Tennessee, Uncle to Marcella (Brian) Creighton, Stephanie (Chris) Tewell, Keith Born, Alex Scott-USN, Saberina Scott, Tanner Scott and Kelsey Rogers. Great Uncle to Hannah, Luc, Caleb and Kenzie. Godfather to Marcella & Caleb, nephew to L.J. Kerr and Marilyn and Ronald O'Dell. A City of Pittsburgh Paramedic for 22 years, Ed was crew chief at Medic Station 7 in Greenfield and served on the Executive Board at F.A.P.P. Local 1. An active member of St. Philips Church in Moon Township, Ed took part in many groups within the church. He was an avid lover of all animals and volunteered to walk dogs for the Humane Society of Western PA in the North Side. Friends welcome Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp.
