An original resident of the Masonic Village at Sewickley, Edith Mary Keeney left this world at the age of 93 on Sunday, April 2. She was born in Westmoreland City to Irene and John Graham on January 1, 1930. Married to James Paul Keeney Jr. in June of 1947, they spent 58 loving years together before he passed away in June of 2005. Edie was a devoted mother and friend to: Suzanne Gagliardo of Moon Twp, Nancy Slanina (Conrad) of Wheeling, Scott of Acme, PA, and daughter-in-law Mary Jo Keeney of Ohio Twp. Son James David passed away in October of 2017. She was the proud grandmother of James, Jane Ellen, Nicole, Justin, Kelsey, Hannah, Gabriela and Bridget, and was a great-grandmother of 10. Edie also leaves behind her devoted companion of the last 10 years, Deane Hillegass also of the Masonic Village. Over the years Edie was active in many civic organizations in Pittsburgh, enjoyed golf at Shannopin Country Club, traveling and antiquing with her husband, and most notably flourished during her years of painting while a very active member of the Village's Art Group.
