Edison R. Nye

Edison Richard Nye age 83 of Mt. Washington passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Nye.

Beloved Father of Scott (Cynthia), Darin and the late Keith Nye.

Loving Grandfather of Joya, Scott Jr., Sienna, Demaris, Asja, Mikia and the late Darin, Jr.

and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

He is survived by nephew Peter (Joan) Yerloda , nieces Brenda Johnson (Kevin), Leesha Daniels, Angela Nelson and close first cousin, Steven Banks (Judy).

Edison is also survived by his significant other, Lillian Willis as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Family and friends welcome on Friday July 10, 2026 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 11 am until time of funeral service at 1 pm at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave, Mt. Washington 15211. Burial Private to the family.
