Dorothy Lowry Post

Age 87, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2023. Survived by sons Todd (Nancy) and Gordon (Wendy), and daughter Caroline. Grandchildren Michele (Keith) Smith, Andrew (Vanna), Ian and Nathan Post. Great grandchildren Evie and Matthew Post and Kayleigh Smith. Sister of Louise Lowry and the late John, Margret, Catherine and William. Dottie devoted a large portion of her life to caring and advocating for those with special needs. She was a strong, independent person who loved her family and had a passion for travel and loved to laugh. Family and friends welcome Friday, January 27th, from 2-4 pm in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800). Followed by a church service at the Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, 15243 at 4:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or call to donate (1-800-227-2345).
