Age 89, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 just 11 days shy of her 90th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Henry R. “Butch” Leonhiser and of the late Richard E. Ryan. Daughter of the late William and Marian Lugaila. Loving mother of Rick D. Ryan (Lisa). Dear grandmother of Jennifer (Jason), Jason (Danielle), Jillian, and Julie. Great grandmother of Aaron, Hailey, Jared, Addison, and Savannah. Sister of Weezie (Fran), Bill (Lois), Loretta (the late Ray), Patty (Bob), Dickie (Margie), Rita (Chuck), and the late John (survived by Kathy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Dorothy enjoyed and loved her family and taught them everything that they know. She was the best Nonnie ever. One of Dorothy’s favorite pastimes was cooking Sunday dinner for the family.
The family would like to thank their two special angels, Jen and Mary, for the loving care they gave Dorothy these last 6 years.
All are welcome Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800). Her Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, January 24, 2024, 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
