Dorothy Ann Bechtol

73, of LaVergne, TN, died January 4, 2013, surrounded by her family. Born in Swissvale, PA on November 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Kastler Bechtol. Dorothy resided in California for many years, and in recent years, resided with her daughter in Tennessee. She is survived by five children, James White of Smyrna, TN, Alma Denning of Lower Lake, CA, Pam Haynes of LaVergne, TN, Mark Rhodes of Colma, CA, and Frank Rhodes of LaVergne, TN; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Alice Carter of Birmingham, AL and Pearl Bogard of Los Angeles, CA; as well as many loving cousins, a niece, and a nephew. Friends will be received at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Stephen Kresak, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport with interment immediately following at New St. Josephs Cemetery in North Versailles.
