Dorothy Bachner

Age 95, of Gloucester, VA, formerly of Green Tree, on Saturday, November 7. 2015. Beloved wife of the late Sylvester J. Bachner; dear mother of Gerald Bachner, Gemma (Kevin) Abraham, Katherine (Patrick) Manion, Joseph Bachner, Sylvia (Douglas) Diamond, Ruth (Brian) Clements and the late James Bachner; daughter of the Jerimiah and Kathryn (Doyle) McDonald; sister of the late Geraldine McDonough; also 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Dorothy was a native of Pittsburgh, PA. She and her late husband Sylvester moved to Gloucester, VA in 1980, where they were active members of St. Therese Catholic Church. Dorothy led a faithful life of serving others through volunteer work with The Theresians, Gloucester Meals on Wheels and The Daffodil Gift Shop at Walter Reed Hospital.
