Donald E. Heinz, age 90 of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Beloved Husband of 70 years to Anne (Duffy) Heinz. Loving Father of Debbie (Matthew) Martin and Diane L. Heinz. Cherished Pap Pap of Amanda (Jeff) Seaton, Staci (Rodney) Eckert, Kyle (Renee) Martin and Michele (Matt) Rich. Loving Great Pap Pap of Ella, Madison, Marcus, Emi, Charlie, Warren and Wells. Beloved Son of the late John A. and Mercedes T. (Klein) Heinz. Loving Brother of the late Merilda, Bernice, Mercedes “Betty,” John, and William. Also survived by many loving Nieces and Nephews. Don was born on Flag Day (June 14, 1934). He enjoyed gardening, back yard bird watching, and doing home projects. He was also known for his Uncle Don’s World Famous Suet Cakes recipe. NO VISITATION. Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral mass on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. Burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
