Age 98, formerly of Scott Twp., (most recently resided in Lorton, VA and Butler, PA) went home to our Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph A. O'Hanlon and Margaret (Grounds) O'Hanlon. Dolores, born June 6, 1923, was raised in Greenfield, PA. Beloved wife for over 60 years to the late Joseph L. Gigliotti. Joe and Dolores raised 7 children. Joseph (Marilyn), Margaret Finnell, Christopher (Debbie), Richard (Cindy), Stephen, Caroline Curran (Fred Pollock) and the late Thomas Gigliotti. Dolores pride and joy was her great big happy family. This also includes 15 grandchildren, Matt Gigliotti, Mark Gigliotti, Phil Gigliotti, Vince Gigliotti, John Finnell, Monica Gigliotti, Stephanie Gigliotti, Bridgette Grippo, Maria Cruz, Joseph Gigliotti, Richard Gigliotti, Pamela Osche, Gina Prescott, Justin Curran and Dominic Curran, as well as 34 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Eleanor Cunningham, Margaret (Bunny)Saunders, Edward O'Hanlon and the late Joseph, Adele Ponticello, Bernard, Natalie Curtain, David, and William. Dolores was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Early in life she studied with a private trainer and sang in the Pittsburgh Opera for a short time. She also tried out for the New York Metropolitan Opera. After marriage and children Dolores utilized that beautiful voice and became active in SS Simon & Jude Choir. She also belonged to Christian Mothers for many years. Generosity, compassion, strength and kindness were she strong traits as well as her unfailing faith in God. Dolores loved to cook and bake. Always trying out one of the hundreds of new recipes she would come across in a magazine or paper. Dolores volunteered (baking) for Meal on Wheels on a weekly basis and had volunteered at Marian Manor. She was always ready to help anyone (especially her family) in anyway she could. Dolores was the absolute definition of a good woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will miss you mom, but until we meet again….SLAINTE'.
