Passed away peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Larraine was born July 16, 1942 and grew up in Heidelberg with her parents Walter and Alice Gruda (now deceased). She married James Fleck in 1960 and built a family together in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. James passed in 1978. Larraine was a lifetime member of St. Luke's and St. Simon and Jude Churches, now St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Hospital for Children's Cancer Research, the Salvation Army and the children of McGuffey School District. Larraine's generosity and kindness was felt by everyone who was fortunate to know her, teaching us all valuable life lessons and never holding back her honest opinion. She told us that "Everything happens for a reason" and to always live by "The Golden Rule"; treating others the way we wanted to be treated. Larraine loved traveling, reading, playing cards and game nights and of course casinos; but her real joy and passions were her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Fleck; her sons, James Fleck, Jr. (Jennifer) and Steven Fleck (Julia); and her daugher, Amy Hughes (Tom). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alexandra, Connor, Weston, Daphne, Maelen, Hannah and Noah; her sisters, Debby DeNardis, Alice Annessi and Sandy Lamb; her brother, Walter Gruda; son-in-law, Joseph Jaffe; and several nieces and nephews.
