Of Pittsburgh, passed peacefully on December 3, 2023. Beloved Husband to Carol M. Daffern. Father to David Daffern Jr. and his loving ex-spouse Julie Daffern, Michael R. (Amy) Daffern, and Chris (Lisa) Daffern. Son of the late Elizabeth and Harry Daffern. Brother to Elizabeth (Dennis) Dallmus, as well as 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and tons of nieces and nephews.
David found fulfillment in tending to his yard, where he cultivated a sanctuary of vibrant blooms and thriving greenery. Whether he was navigating his tractor across his property or tirelessly shoveling dirt to sculpt the landscape, his connection with the earth was palpable. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he found exhilaration in every game, cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty. For David, the true essence of a day off was spent alongside his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories through shared labor and laughter.
