d. November 3, 2017

Age 87, of Providence Point, passed away on Friday, November 3. Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Drane). Loving fatherof Anne (John) Simon and Amy (Dan Staab) Tiemann. Grandfather of Megan, Laura, Anna, and Christine. Uncle to John and Tom Wilson. Dave Christopher had a long and successful career in the accounting and finance fields, having held senior management positions at an international accounting firm, a global law firm and at a financial and information technology consulting firm. In addition, he was an entrepreneur, starting his own executive search firm when others his age had been retired for years. He was also an active leader in multiple civic, community and political organizations.

Dave retired from Price Waterhouse after more than 35 years of service, having held many significant leadership positions, including serving as Managing Partner of the Pittsburgh office, Managing Partner of the Ohio Valley Region and, finally as Managing Partner of the Global Audit Practice, headquartered in New York City. He was a member of the firm's Management Committee for many years and was widely regarded as a true visionary in the areas of practice growth and client service expansion. As an Audit Partner, he served many of the firm's largest clients, including US Steel, Gulf Oil, Westinghouse and Mellon Bank.

Upon his retirement, Dave joined the law firm of Reed Smith as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer during a period of significant growth for that firm. He later joined Tatum Partners of Atlanta, where he started Tatum CIO Partners, a leader in the information technology consulting business. Dave would often smile in recalling the irony of his leadership of an IT consulting company, given his "expertise" with computers. He served as Chairman of the Jade Group until 2016.

Lebanon, First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, the Duquesne Club, the Pittsburgh Ballet and the Allegheny Regional Asset District.
Dave began his career in politics in the early 1970's, serving on the Mt. Lebanon School Board and as Chair of the Mt. Lebanon Republican Committee. He was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1976, Ronald Reagan's first campaign. A self-described "Reaganite", Dave was very active in the Reagan campaign in various roles and served as a delegate to the 1984 convention. In 1980, Dave was elected Chairman of the Allegheny County Republican Committee and subsequently, Vice Chairman of the Republican Committee of Pennsylvania.
