Daniel Francis Smerker

Age 74, of Bethel Park, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022.  Beloved husband of 34 years. to Deborah L. (Santangelo) Smerker; loving father of Heather McGee (Fiancé Rick Bryan) and Emily Clemons (Jermaine); cherished grandfather of Kyra and Cassandra Short; beloved son of the late Francis and Sylvia (Martucci) Smerker; beloved brother of Geraldine Thomas (Edward) and Thomas Smerker; beloved brother-in-law of Anthony and Joseph (Melissa) Santangelo; loving uncle of Cole, Carson Santangelo; uncle and godfather of Cooper Santangelo; cherished godfather of Colin Celani.  Daniel retired from Ironworkers Local #3 and as an Insurance Agent with MetLife.  He enjoyed spending time with his Labrador, Brooke.   NO VISITATION.  Family and   friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Louise de Marillac Church, St. Catherine Laboure Parish.  Burial to follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.  Arrangements entrusted to FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, Bether Park (412-835-1860).   www.SlaterFuneral.com
