Claire Cecilia Kubicki (Flaherty)

Age 88, of Brookline, formerly of Beechview, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Beloved wife of 55 years to Francis Michael Kubicki, Sr; loving mother of Laura A. Kubicki and Francis M. Kubicki, Jr.; devoted daughter of the late John J. and Helen C. (Daugherty) Flaherty; sister of Nancy K. Poremski, the late Regis N. (Ann) Flaherty and the late John J. (Dorothy) Flaherty; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who mourn her passing. Claire was a graduate of Elizabeth Seton High School in 1952. While working at Columbia Gas, she met her future husband, Frank. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, in Brookline, since 1967. Our mom was very proud of her Irish heritage. Mom loved the finer things in life - music, theatre, flowers, and nature. She was an accomplished pianist, and enjoyed countless hours playing her Steinway piano. Mom was known for her delicious Christmas cookies and pound cakes for special occasions. Above all, her greatest love, devotion and joy was being with her family.
