Charlotte C. Steranka

Charlotte (Coyle) Steranka, 97 years old, formerly of Scott Township, passed away on September 18, 2023 in Parkersburg, WV with her family at her side.

She was born November 9, 1925, in Carnegie, PA, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Florence Coyle of Glendale, Pa.

She was preceded in death by John (Figgie) Steranka, her loving husband of 48 years. Also, she was preceded in death by her sister/best friend Anna Margaret Walk, brother-in-law Tony Walk, and son-in-law Rick Dickson.

She worked at US Steel, Wallace Memorial Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (Gi-Gi) and a friend to many. She was a charter member of Covenant Community Presbyterian Church in Scott Township.

She is survived by three children, Nancy Steranka Dickson of Bridgeville, PA, Jim Steranka (Joni) of Lancaster, SC and Janet Beeson (Jeff) of Mineral Wells, WV. She was also survived by four grandchildren Kristen (Steranka) Applewhite and Corey Steranka, Heather (Beeson) Offenberger and Matthew Beeson and four great-grandchildren, Liam and Elodie Appelwhite, Abigail Jennings and Oliver Chambers.

Family and friends are welcome Monday 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220.  Interment in Chartiers Cemetery.
