Charlotte "Dutchie" Leja

Charlotte "Dutchie" Leja went to her heavenly home on February 14, 2018 at the age of 74. She was the loving wife of 50 years to Henry. Surviving are her beloved husband Henry; Aunt Marjorie Preganz; three children Tracy, Melani Lyon (David) and Peter Leja (Tara); five grandchildren Alyssa, Joshua, Ellie, Leena, Cadence; and trusted guard dog Moxlee. Dutchie was a graduate of Ohio Valley School of Nursing and held many nursing positions during her career, including managing the Emergency Room. Dutchie was a dedicated wife, loving mother, gifted nurse, and fierce racquetball player and all around amazing person. A Celebration of Life will be held at William Slater II Funeral Service , 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp, 15220 on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11am . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Father Ryan Arts Center, 420 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bridgeville Rehab and Care Center and Bethany Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion they provided to Char during the last season of her life. Dutchie was loved by many and will always be remembered in our hearts.
