Age 91, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Carnegie, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Charles was a graduate of St. Vincent College, a World War II veteran, and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Over his career, he held senior-level positions in marketing and communications at Westinghouse, McGraw-Edison, and Gulf Oil. He celebrated 53 years of marriage with the late Audrey Byron Kraus and spent nearly as long cheering on the Steelers from his seats on the 49th yard line. His wry sense of humor was legendary. He was the loving father of Janet (Bruce Palmer) Kraus and the late David C. Kraus; father-in-law to Kathleen M. Kraus; brother of the late Monsignor Donald W. Kraus; grandfather of Clare Kraus Braun and Phoebe Palmer; great-grandfather of John David and Aryn. He will also be greatly missed by his dear friend, Edna Littlehale. In heaven, we know
everyone will speak "clearly and distinctly"--or maybe hearing aids will actually work.
