Of Pittsburgh, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 19, 2021. Daughter of the late John and Mary Walsh, preceded in death by her brothers, Hugh (Son), Coleman (Bud), John (Jack), and her sisters, Mary, Ann (Maggie), and Barbara. Survived by her sister, Eleanor (Ralph) Zecchino Cathy was also adored and loved by her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nephews. Cathy's career in health care spanned 40 years in Allegheny County She received her nursing degree from Pittsburgh School of Nursing, held a Bachelor's Degree in Science, and a Master's Degree in Counseling Education from California State College Her career began at John J. Kane Hospital as a registered nurse in 1958 She went on to become the Nursing Supervisor, Director of Nursing, Director of Community Services and Administrator of Patient Care Services In 1983, as a nurse practitioner, Cathy became the Administrator of Scott Regional Center and in 1989 was appointed Executive Director of the the Kane Regional Center System where she surved until her retirement Although Cathy dedicated her professional life to caring for the elderly, she continued that compassion and caring in her personal life long after her retirement Toots, as a our family friends knew her, enjoyed traveling, reading a good novel, cooking, Irish music, and of course a good road trip in her beloved VW Beetle But her biggest passion was undoubetedly her love for her family Toots was a such a big part of all of our lives and she will be so dearly missed....
