Carole Hirschinger Bucci passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 27th, 2023. Carole had just celebrated her 90th Christmas surrounded by her loving family. A graduate of Langley High School, Carole spent much of her childhood working the counter at her mother’s store – Hirschinger’s Dairy in Sheridan. She was the daughter of William and Margaret Mulligan Hirschinger and lived in Pittsburgh for her entire life. Carole met her late husband, Gilbert E. Bucci Sr., at the roller rink on Neville Island, and they were married for almost 60 years. Gil and Carole founded and built Golden Triangle Construction Company into a regional heavy construction business over a 60-year ownership period. Carole was a wonderful mother to her four children: Tina Bucci Stacy (Dr. Joseph Matthew), Carolyn Bucci, the late Gilbert E. Bucci Jr., and Laura Bucci Bell (Dr. Gerald). She is survived by her daughters and numerous grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Mum”: Dr. Maurielle Stacy (fiancé Patrick Leyland), Alexander Stacy (Suzanne), Gabriel Stacy (Caitlin), Cameron Stacy, Adriana Stacy, Lydia Bell, and Eliza Bell. Carole is the sister of the late Margaret June Fleming and late Dolores Richards. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Carole’s sense of humor and love of a good story have left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Her infectious laugh and smile lit up every room. She will be dearly missed and always remembered. Family and friends welcome Saturday 8-10:30 AM in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh PA 15220. Funeral Mass to follow visitation, 11 AM, SS.
