With heavy hearts and eternal gratitude, we celebrate the life of Carole Ann Bassler, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister whose presence brought warmth and gentleness to all who knew her. At the age of 85, she passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Carole was the cherished wife of the late Ronald Kent Bassler, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of faith, dedication, and enduring love. Together they raised three beloved children, Kent Bassler, (husband of Vicki Shirk), Lynne Lynch (wife of Tom Lynch), and Craig Bassler.
She was the adoring grandmother of K.J. and Neko Bassler, Tom Lynch, Hannah, Ben and Ron Bassler, and the proud great-grandmother of Jenna Bloise, Rilynn Bassler and Kash and Lincoln Bassler. She also leaves behind two sisters, Judie Seiler and Pat Routh. Carole was preceded in death by her brother, Don Crosby and sister, Gerry Boggiano.
Carole’s life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and a gentle spirit that made every person feel valued. She was a simple woman in the most beautiful sense—giving far more than she ever asked for, lifting others with her soft voice, encouraging words, and tender heart. Like a devoted gardener, her hands nurtured not only the earth, but every soul fortunate enough to be part of her life.
She met each day with gratitude and grace, offering generosity, compassion, and a warm smile to all. Her legacy is not measured by possessions, but by the countless lives she touched and the love she poured into her family and friends.
As we celebrate her life today, we honor a woman who lived with purpose, faith, and boundless love. Her spirit will continue to bloom in our memories, in every kindness shared, and in every generation her love has shaped.
May mom now rest in peace in the presence of our Lord—the One who loves her more—held forever in His light and forever in our hearts.
