Carol Sattler Durkin Bonner

Carol passed away into heaven quietly and peacefully on September 24, 2021. She is survived by Regis Bonner, her beloved husband of 51 years; her children, Thomas Durkin (Joby), Kathleen Durkin Klein (Frank), and James Durkin (Sarah); her seven grandchildren, Michael Klein (Lindsay), Alyssa Durkin, Taylor Durkin, Coreen Klein (Brian), Christopher Durkin, Stephen Klein (Stephanie), and Thomas Durkin II; along with many neighbors and friends. Carol was the daughter of Reverend Edwin Sattler and the sister of Don Sattler. As a professional singer, she served as a soloist at The First Presbyterian Church for over 20 years. She was often a Principal Soloist with The Pittsburgh Symphony and was awarded The Metropolitan Opera Award for Vocal Excellence. Carol was a Mt. Lebanon resident for 50 years. She loved yoga, gardening and cooking. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2021, 5-7 p.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 412-563-2800, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., PA 15220.
