Calvin S. Lynch

Age 91, On Monday, December 12, 2022. A native Pittsburgher and watercolorist, received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Philadelphia Museum College of Art. He personally studied painting with W. Emerton Heitland of the National Academy AWS, New York. For 12 years, Cal taught beginning drawing, watercolor, and figure drawing at the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, night classes. At The Ivy School of Art, Pittsburgh, he taught “on-location” drawing classes for several years. Mr. Lynch had a varied career in advertising and graphic design. He successfully ran his own advertising studio for 25 years in Pittsburgh completing projects for industrial, consumer, and non-profit clients. Mr. Lynch has signature memberships in the following art groups: Philadelphia Watercolor Society, PA, American Artists Professional League, NY, Academic Artists Association, Springfield, MA, Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, PA, Hudson Valley Art Association, NY, Audubon Artists, NY, and Pennsylvania Watercolor Society.
