Amazing daughter of Sarah and David of Mt. Lebanon. Leaves behind her adoring older sister Margaret Grace Missenda. She also leaves behind countless friends and extended family. Brigid was predeceased by her grandmother, Patricia Missenda. Brigid overcame many challenges during her short life, including beating cancer twice and ataxia telangiectasia. Her immense strength and resilience in the face of adversity were one of her many admirable traits. She was Brave, Resilient and Mighty but lost her battle to A-T. Brigid loved puppies, bunnies, playing with her older sister and her friends, Miracle League and kindergarten. To have known Brigid is to have known a world of kindness, gentleness, and goodness. Her family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Johns Hopkins A-T Center for their dedication and commitment to Brigid’s care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to A-T Children’s Project to fund research so other children and families can live in a world with a cure for A-T.
