Age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Marylou “Lulu” E. (Hackel) Dervis. Loving father of Paula (Greg) Hall and Bernard Jr. “Bengie” (Janet) Dervis. Loving son of the late Bernard “Ducky” Dervis and Marian Cecelia Guskey. Beloved brother of two sisters. Cherished grandfather of Jimmy (Janet) Hickey, Jennifer (Matt) Hickey and Josh (Kenzie) Hall. Loving great-grandfather to Lynsey. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Benny was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and retired as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. He loved his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Benny loved donuts, sweets, pringles and whole milk. He especially enjoyed sharing the pringles with his dogs. Anyone that knew Benny would say he was a jokester and loved to laugh. Benny really enjoyed telling stories. Family and friends are welcome to attend the committal service on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 12:30 PM at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017.
