Ben Hodes

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, died recently He is survived by his wife Carole, daughter Leslie, sons Joel and Neil, granddaughters Bethany and Rachel, and daughter-in-law Heather. Ben received his doctorate in physical pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Michigan and taught at the University of Maryland from 1963 to 1967, He was appointed assistant Dean at Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy in 1967. While there, Ben launched and was named Dean of the University’s innovative and very successful School of Leadership and Professional Advancement for adult working students. Upon retirement, Ben shared his management skills with nonprofit groups, including Planned Parenthood. He also rediscovered his love of photography had a solo show at the Mount Lebanon Library and was awarded a prize in the photography exhibit at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh, PA.
