Age 71, of Mt. Lebanon, on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Beloved wife of Frederick Kraft; dear mother of Elizabeth Burton and Sue Kraft Fussell (Scott); loving grandmother of Tucker Burton and Isabella Burton and Avery Fussell; sister of Nancy Flynne, James Flynne, David Flynne, and the late Kathleen Levicky, Thomas Flynne, Susan Flynne and Eileen Flynne. Barbara's intense involvement with her St. Thomas More faith community included initiating and mentoring others to provide an Adult Faith Formation Lecture Series, Little Rock Scripture Study, a Diocesan Stewardship Initiative with outgoing Ministry Fairs, and the Parish Library. Barbara was a passionate advocate for Justice and Peace issues. Barbara's profound loyalty for and leadership at Carlow University began in her student days as a nursing and theology major when she organized a continuing education student group. Barbara was voted president of the Student Government Association and she served on many college committees. As a proud alumna, Barbara was a very active leader in the Carlow University Alumni Association, serving on the association's Board of Directors. As president of the association she became the alumni representative on Carlow's Board of Trustees. She also served on the Board of Directors for Carlow's Ecumenical Institute On Racism. Most recently, Barbara was a co-chair of the National Alumni Campaign which raised significant support for the construction of Carlow University's commons.
