Audrey Ann Liss (nee Arnold), age 80, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, April 25, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Henry and Sophia (nee Peipock) Arnold, Audrey was defined by her devout Catholic faith, her commitment to family, and her unwavering love for her husband, Michael. A longtime resident of Mount Washington, she was well-known in the neighborhood for her active lifestyle and strong work ethic. Though she began her career as a secretary in the 1960s, Audrey soon found her true calling as a dedicated full-time mother. While raising her children, she was a tireless school volunteer and founded the Junior Women’s Guild at St. Justin’s Church. Her family will forever cherish memories of her delicious cookies and desserts, her constant encouragement, and the legendary Halloween nights spent trick-or-treating until they had filled two pillowcases with candy. Audrey found her greatest joy in decorating, gardening, and building lifelong friendships; she had a gift for making new friends wherever she went. Those who knew her will remember her active lifestyle to include walking Grandview Avenue and attending silver sneakers. She is survived by her children: Michael Liss, Lisa Adili (Rob), and Tanya Brandt (David). She was the proud grandmother of Christopher Mease, Benjamin Liss, Matthew Liss, Emma Liss, Ava Brandt, and Alexa Brandt, and the late Michael and Robert Liss. Great-grandmother of Declan Mease. Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Liss; her brother, Ron Arnold; her sister-in-law, Virginia Arnold. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at WM SLATER & SONS INC., 301 Virginia Avenue, Mount Washington 15211. (412-381-3345) Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday, May 1, 2026 in St. Mary of the Mount Church, Mary Queen of Peace Parish, 403 Grandview Avenue, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery. www.slaterfuneral.com
