Age 88 of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2016. Mr. DeConciliis was the beloved husband of the late June Marie DeConciliis; father of Art, Jr. (Mary Pat) DeConciliis, the late Cherrie DeConciliis, Candy (Jamie) Macko and Cindy (John) DeJames; loved grandfather of Amanda, Alex, Samantha, Jamie, Dylan, Chase, Zac, Tyler and Brianna; brother of the late John (Winifred) and Bianca DeConciliis. Arthur was the founder and president of the prestigious Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, which consisted of 5 locations in the Pittsburgh area, training thousands of cosmetologists and barbers for almost 50 years. Through his efforts, PBA was the first training facility in the country to offer an Associate Degree in Cosmetology Arts. He was a long-standing commissioner and proudly served as a two- time chairman of the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS) and was an involved member of the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators (PAPSA). Arthur was an active member and volunteer for St. Pius X Church in Brookline, since 1954, heading up a number of carnivals and PTG events. Arthur was a die-hard Steelers fan and chartered a trip of nearly 100 people to attend the Steeler 's first Super Bowl. His sharp wit, dapper style and dedication to his industry will be remembered by many across the country.
