Vollmer, Anna L. of Indianapolis, IN (formerly of Pittsburgh, PA) died on January 27th surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harvey Michael Vollmer, her parents Anton and Helen (Sirota) Matelic, brothers John, Anthony, Fred and Paul, and sisters Mary and Helen. Survived by her children, Judy (Don) Welsh, Larry (Janet) Vollmer, Mike (Rhonda) Vollmer, Bob (Sherry) Vollmer, Tim (Joyce) Vollmer, Scott Vollmer, Mary (Steve) Oursler, her grandchildren Tracey Schultz, Matt Vollmer, Becki Vollmer, Heather (Jon) Coleman, Jason (Deborah) Vollmer, Christina (Bill) Pierce, Nicole Vollmer, Justin Vollmer and Garrett Oursler; her great-grandchildren Tyler Schultz, Sadie Vollmer, Liam Pierce, and Parker Coleman. Anna was dearly loved by all who knew her. She grew up in West Frankfort, Illinois. She went on to serve as a nurse in World War II while her husband served on the front battle lines. Harvey and Anna were married in 1943. They went on to settle in Pittsburgh, PA where they lovingly raised their children. Anna enjoyed walking daily, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, Sarris maple creams and jelly beans and especially keeping up with her children, grand children and great-grandchildren.
