Of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Center for Compassionate Care of Mt. Lebanon, after a long illness which she battled with great courage and dignity. Annie was the beloved wife of James "Jim" Walsh; and treasured mother of Kelsey and Katelyn Walsh. Born in Scranton, PA on November 16, 1962, she was the daughter of Alice Musheno and the late Joseph Musheno. Annie graduated from West Scranton High School and the University of Scranton and earned her CPA in 1987. After graduation, she worked as an accountant for the Scranton Times and then as an auditor with McGrail Merkel Quinn & Associates. Annie moved to Pittsburgh in 1989 where she was a tax accountant with KPMG for several years. After her daughters were born, she devoted her full time and attention to them and their educations and extracurricular activities. Annie took active roles in the PTA organizations at the girls' schools also helped to support fund raising and other activities for the Mt. Lebanon High School girls' cross country and track programs. She returned to the work force in 2006 on a part time basis as a bookkeeper with Thomas M. Walsh, CPA in Bethel Park, where she was employed until October, 2012. Annie took great pride in her daughters' many accomplishments, most notably their decision to and enthusiasm for their educations. Annie loved the sun and its warmth...especially at the beach. She also enjoyed getting together with family and friends, both in Pittsburgh and on trips back to Scranton. Also surviving are six cherished brothers, Joseph Musheno and wife, Pamela, Scranton: Jerome Musheno and wife, Michele, Clarks Summit, PA; John Musheno and wife, Sue, Jessup, PA; Michael Musheno and wife, Gayle, Scranton; Patrick Musheno and wife, Mary Ann, Eynon, PA; and Dennis Musheno, Scranton; two loving sisters, Mary Clair Carpenter and husband Michael, Boston and Christine Matthews and husband Michael, Altus, OK; her devoted in-laws, Jerome and Nancy Walsh, Scranton; Reverend Jeffery Walsh, East Stroudsburg, and Joseph and Eleanor Walsh, Glendale, AZ; 22 adoring nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Kathy Carbaugh. Friends are welcome Friday, September 27, 2013, 4 - 8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township.
