Ann Curran Wintermantel

Age 85, of Mount Washington, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Ann worked for the Greater Piitsburgh Guild for the Blind, the Pittsburgh Catholic newspaper, the Community College of Allegheny County, Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. She was editor of the Carnegie Mellon University alumni magazine for 20 years, and interviewed visiting poets for the Pittsburgh Press. She was the Author of five books of poetry. Ann was the Beloved Wife of the late Edward Wintermantel. She is also survived by her Daughter, Cristin C. (Chris) Buckley, a Sister, Mary Pat Curran, Stepson, Robert Buckley and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Family and Friends welcome Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm WM. SLATER & SONS INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave, Mount Washington 15211. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 10:00 am in Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount Church.
