Ann Betts

Of Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of William H. Betts; mother of William R. of Crescent, PA, Jeanne Powers of Bethel Park, PA, Marcia Thornburg of Edmond, OK, Daniel L. of Fredericksburg, VA and Trisanne Smetana of Bethel Park, PA. She was born March 18, 1927, in Flint, MI and married Bill on June 10, 1948. She cared for her family while obtaining a BS degree in the Health related professions and served as a record administrator at several hospitals in Pittsburgh. She was an accomplished skier, enjoying the European Alps, the American Rockies, the West and helicopter skiing the glaciers of New Zealand. She was the grandmother of Sandy, Rebecca, Will, Andrea, Daniel, Lena, Coy, Jenna and Christian; she was the great-grandmother of Zachary, Kalei, Isabella, Collin, Sophie, Lilah and Landon. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh.
