Andrew James Stickman, age 3, died on September 6, 2023. He is the son of William and Leanne Stickman; the brother of Will, Anna, and Peter Stickman; the grandson of William and Mary Anne Stickman and James and Audrey Hutchison. He was blessed by, and was a blessing to, a large and close family, including many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also had a number of friends, most especially his buddies from Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Andrew lived a perfect three years. He was happy, carefree, and completely untouched by the pain and sorrows of our fallen world. He was a beacon of joy to everyone whom he encountered. He loved his family, his friends, and his Faith. He knew nothing but unconditional love in this world, especially from his three wonderful siblings. He was not only a gift to us, but an example. His short life showed that the greatest joys are those which are simple. To inherit the kingdom of heaven, our hearts must become like him—a little child. (Matt. 18:3). Andrew’s life was an example that the sole purpose of our lives is love. And God is love. (1 John 4: 7). We, his family, rejoice that Andrew is now a saint. He has received his crown of glory and is standing in the presence of Almighty God, the lover of his soul and all mankind. He intercedes for us before the Father. May we all become like him. Blessed be the name of the Lord, now and forever.
