Albert Delano Furedy

d. June 14, 2020

"I had a Great life" That is what Albert D. Furedy, age 86, of Mt Lebanon, PA, could be heard saying over and over. I had a wonderful wife of 55 years, an amazing family, a fantastic job, and an abundance of friends and adventures. He was born July 20, 1933 during the depression and died June 14, 2020, to Michael and Anna Furedy of Hazelwood. He had 3 older brothers, William (Helen), Charles (Ruth) and Elmer (Barb), 1 older sister Frances and his twin Marianne (Clarence) Eveges. Although times were tough they had and an abundance of love, he was also the last remaining sibling. Albert graduated from Taylor Alderdice and joined the Air Force where he was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. He returned and entered the University of Pittsburgh earning a degree in Engineering. He was employed for 37 years at PPG industries, a job he loved that allowed him to travel the world to Russia, China and all through Europe, and that also led him to meet his wife Maxine (DeLozier). In marrying Maxine he gained 3 more sisters, Mary (Sam) Benson, Freda (Joe) Benson and Janet (Jim Stoops and together the had 4 children, Albert Jr., Karen (Michael), Steven (Becki) and David (Marie) and 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Brooke, Jake, Josh, Ella, Kenny, Andrew and Oakley, he also has numerous nieces and nephews. After retiring he enjoyed many years golfing and was an officer at the MT Lebanon golf course, he also traveled with his wife and good friends, Charity and Rick Boyden. He was lucky enough to have terrific neighbors, Lou (Lucy) Santella and Bill (Kim) Buono who helped him out tremendously for years and who he talked about with such fondness. He will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend and Happy Pappy to his grandkids.
