Albert P. "Al" DeBonis

A Funeral Mass for Albert "Al" P. DeBonis will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018, at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Green Tree.
Al passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the age of 97. Born to Emily and Domenic DeBonis of Sharpsburg. Al was employed for several decades by Kaufmann's Department Store in increasingly responsible leadership positions that culminated in the role of men's clothing buyer. After retiring from Kaufmann's, Eagle Clothes of New York City sought him out to serve as a consultant to their retail stores. Together with his brothers, Al also co-owned several clothing stores in Columbus, OH. An avid golfer, Al was a member of Churchill Valley Country Club of Pittsburgh and served on its Board of Directors. Al was devoted to his family and provided love and support to them always. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Derkics) DeBonis; sister, Edith (DeBonis) Ferraro; and brother, Domenic DeBonis (Patricia); as well as many nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Adeline (Peretti) DeBonis; and siblings, Nicholas, Philomena (DeBonis) Mignella, William and John. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, ST. Jude or Shriner's for Children. WE WIL CARRY HIS MEMORY IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER.
